1. Have an eye for fashion
Meaning: Có sở thích, năng khiếu về thời trang.
Example: I don’t have an eye for fashion so I always ask for recommendations from my friends.
2. To be dressed up to the nines
Meaning: mặc quần áo rất phong cách và thời trang, thường cho một mục đích hoặc dịp cụ thể.
Example: All visitors are dressed up to the nines for the party. (All attendees were very stylishly dressed for the party)
3. To be dressed to kill
Meaning: Một cụm từ được sử dụng để chỉ mặc quần áo rất thời trang để nổi bật và thu hút sự chú ý.
Example: The singer is dressed to kill because she is going to receive one of the most important awards in her career. (The singer is very fashionable as she is about to receive one of the most important awards of her career.)
4. From head to toe
Meaning: Từ đầu đến chân, bao phủ toàn bộ cơ thể.
Example: When going to a meeting, I always try to look good from head to toe. (When I go to a meeting, I always try to look good from head to toe.)
5. Fit like a glove
Meaning: Vừa vặn, có kích thước và hình dáng hoàn hảo cho ai đó.
Example: To look good, I think that people shouldn’t choose clothes that are too big or too small, they need to fit like a glove. (To look good, I think people should not choose clothes that are too big or too small, they need to fit well.)
6. Mix and match
Meaning: chọn những thứ khác nhau như quần áo, phong cách, ý tưởng và kết hợp chúng lại với nhau.
Example: Jeans are so popular because it can easily mix and match with other kinds of clothes
7. To be all the rage
Meaning: rất phổ biến tại một thời điểm cụ thể.
Example: Tiktok is all the rage right now. (Tiktok is very popular right now)
8. Cost an arm and a leg
Meaning: Rất đắt giá.
Example: Even though Gucci clothes costs an arm and a leg, I still hope that I can own some in the near future. (Although Gucci clothes are very expensive, I still hope that I can own a few in the near future.)
9. Can’t take someone’s eyes off something/ someone
Meaning: Không thể ngừng nhìn ai đó hoặc một cái gì đó.
Example: That dress is marvelous, I can’t take my eyes off it. (That dress is so amazing, I can’t take my eyes off it.)
10. Can’t judge a book by its cover
Meaning: Không thể biết điều gì đó hoặc ai đó như chỉ bằng cách nhìn vào vẻ ngoài của người hoặc sự vật, đừng nhìn vào khuôn mặt.
Example: He seems to dress untidily, but you can’t judge a book by its cover, he is the manager of the biggest company in this region. (He looks shabby, but you can’t tell by his face, he’s the director of one of the biggest companies in the area.)

Question 1: Do you enjoy buying clothes?
Answer 1: Well, I’m addicted to fashion and I am usually dressed up to the nines whenever I go out. I don’t feel comfortable if don’t look good from head to toe.
Answer 2: I really enjoy the feeling when going shopping but I don’t have an eye for fashion so I have to go with my friends, who can give me valuable advises.
Question 2: What type of clothes do you like to wear?
Answer 1: I just prefer casual clothes, which make me feel comfortable and flexible on any occasion. I usually wear T-shirts because I can easily mix and match with other types of clothes.
Answer 2: I can wear any kinds of clothes as long as they fit like a glove. I wear a pair of jeans and a T-shirt on a daily basis, but I am also willing to be dressed to kill on special occasions.
Question 3: Do you wear different types of clothes now compared to 10 years ago?
Answer 1: Well, there are not many differences between the clothes that I wear nowadays with that of about 10 years ago because I am not always on-trend. I just prefer casual clothes which can fit as a glove.
Answer 2: Definitely! I always try to be on the trend so I have changed my style a lot. I remember that 10 years ago, I love wearing flared jeans, which were all the rage at that time, but now, I tend to wear dresses and skirts to make me feel more girly.
