Describe something you own which is very important to you.
You should say:
- where you got it from
- how long you have had it
- what you use it for
- and explain why it is important to you.
Sample Answer
There is something dear to every person. For me, it would be my colour palettes, crayons, colours and brushes. Most of them are bought by my parents. Some of them are gifted. All my loved ones know my love and passion for painting, arts and crafts.
I have had them for a long time. I use up one file and buy another. My parents actually don’t mind me buying paints and colours as long as I am not wasting them.
I use it for my paintings, and I believe your art speaks your thoughts. Painting is just like writing poetry. You can tell a complete story in a single painting. It is open to all interpretations. During my leisure time, you will find me sitting with my blank canvas and filling it up beautifully with paints.
I have had a passion for painting since I was a kid. I would scribble trees and a hut on a page and label it as my home. I have had few ground rules. The rivers should always pass between two mountains. The sun is to be visible halfway from one side of the page or in between the two mountains. Those paintings make no sense now, but they did make me happy once. I still have those piled up papers in my cupboard. Whenever I see them, it makes me smile and realise how it had been my mood booster since I was a kid.
