Ngoài ra, có rất nhiều bạn thường hay “hiểu lầm”trong cách sử dụng từ “MUST”.Chú ý nhé theo sau “must” KHÔNG được có TO nhé. Đừng nhầm lẫn với “have to”, dù rằng cả 2 đều mang hàm ý giống nhau.
Have to/must
Must is never followed by ‘to’. Don’t get mixed up with have to. When used to show obligation, they mean the same.
Correct
- He must submit his assignment by Thursday.
- He has to submit his assignment by Thursday.
Incorrect
- He must to submit his assignment by Thursday.
lack (of)
When used as a verb, there is no ‘of’ with lack:

- He lacks intelligence.
Incorrect
- He is lack of intelligence.
- He lacks of intelligence.
When used as part of a noun phrase, include of:

- He has a lack of intelligence.

Effect (on)/affect
Affect is a verb. Do not use it with ‘to’
Correct
- The weather affects people.
Incorrect
- The weather affects to people
- Effect is a noun. We use it with ‘on’ when we want to show which noun is influenced.
Correct
- The weather has an effect on people.
Incorrect
- The weather has an effect people
